| Period for filling of claims, objections for summary revision of ERs of MCJ extended | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , Oct 30 : The period for filling of claims and objections for revision of Municipal Electoral Rolls in respect of Municipal Corporation Jammu is extended by one week with following revised schedule for revision of Municipal Electoral Rolls.
As per revised schedule, the period for filling of claims and objections will be between 19-10-2012 (Friday) to 6-11-2012 (Tuesday), disposal of claims and objections will be done from 7-11-2012 (Wednesday) to 14-11-2012 (Wednesday), preparation and printing of supplements of additions, deletions and corrections will be done from 15-11-2012 (Thursday) to 21-11-2012 (Wednesday) and final publication of Electoral Rolls will be done on 23-11-2012 (Friday).
The Electoral Registration Officers/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers who have been designated for preparation of Municipal Corporation Electoral Rolls, 2012, have already arranged the display of Draft Electoral Rolls at their respective offices.
The Electoral Registration Officer/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, therefore, will also supply requisite forms free of cost to the eligible persons and shall also receive the applications under proper receipt up to 6-11-2012 in respect of Municipal Corporation Jammu. These forms can also be Photostat/handwritten or can even be privately printed.
However, in case of privately printed forms, it should be ensured that no name/logo/symbol of any political party/association in the forms, and they should conform to the format laid down in the statutory form. Bulk forms for inclusion, deletion or correction from any political party or their representatives shall not be entertained or accepted by the EROs. However the forms in respect of one family can be entertained.
