Jammu, Dec 3: It could well be the end of the road for Haseeb Ahmad Tramboo, the powerful valley based business tycoon as police are awaiting formal report of the ballistic expert to register an FIR against him and his two PSOs for concocting a shoot out at latter's Channi residence and then misleading Police through frivolous statements.
"Tramboo is likely to be booked as evidence collected so far goes against the statement he gave to the police in his complaint" said a senior police officer pleading not to be named. "Though report from ballistic expert is awaited , but preliminary investigations and the boundary wall pierced by bullets indicate that shots were fired from inside the residence of the Tramboo and not outside", he added. "All the bullets are of AK 47 rifle, the weapons allotted to his two PSOs Ashiq Hussain and Raiyaz Ahmed, and the statements recorded from his neighbours also go against his version", he added further.
Pertinently, Tramboo in his statement to police said that his house was attacked by some unidentified persons. "It was around 12:30 mid night. I heard some gunshots and called my PSOs who were on the 2nd floor. One of the PSO retaliated firing from 2nd floor of house while another took position in the ground floor, both (PSOs) shot several rounds", said Tramboo.
He said that PSOs had witnessed the movement of two gunmen who were running away after retaliation from them (PSO's). "The gunmen couldn't be identified in the darkness", added Tramboo. On his statement police lodged open FIR in this connection under section 307 RPC. Police also detained the weapons of PSOs and sent the same to the FSL for investigation.
It is pertinent to mention here that the shoot out took place after Tramboo applied for loading and unloading tender of FCI supplies. Raju Chopra who was murdered was also one of the aspirants of the same tender. After his murder, the same came to be allotted to Nagar Singh. Later the tender was given to Tramboo after Nagar was arrested . In the latest tender,Tramboo was one of the eight contractors.
