Jammu, Dec 5: Speak India Environmental Foundation (SIEF) organized an awareness programme on the eve of International Volunteers Day with the support of NYK Kathua here. Several NGO heads, social activist, students and journalists participated in the function. Chairman SIEF Sunil Sharma in his welcome address said that the main aim to organise the programme was to sensitize the young generations towards their social responsibilities. Students namely Sonia, Jyoti, Madhu Barsha, Rishu, Jai Mala, Nisha, Sanjay, Suman, presented a brief note on volunteerism and said that they all voluntarily aware the general masses specially in the rural areas. "Our mission is to sensitize regarding problems like illiteracy, corruption, health, unemployment, drug abuse and other social evils," they said. |
