Number of disabled persons increased in Shopian

Shopian, Dec 12-Shocking details of increasing number of disabled people were furnished in a one-day Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan distribution camp for children with special needs in Shopain. According to the coordinator of camp, Khursheed Ahmad, a recent survey has shown an increase in the number of disabled people as compared to previous years.
He said more new cases of such people were found in Imam Sahib and Zainapora area of Shopian this year. He said that total number of 841 such cases were found among which 100 people need equipments like wheel chairs and other equipment.
The camp was organized by the chief education officer Shopian, Abdul Hameed Kumar, in which parents of disabled people from different corners of the area were informed to receive special equipments and aids for the needy.
