| ICCR to host Intn'l show of dances, music | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 12: Indian Council For Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, is going to organise an international show of music and dances by the artists of Laos on December 14 at Police Auditorium, Jammu. This was informed here today in a press briefing by Balwant Thakur, Regional Director of ICCR, Jammu at its headquarters. Giving details about the International performances he said that a group of twelve artists is arriving here from the City of Vientiane, Laos to give a presentation of traditional dances and music of Laos. For Jammuites its going to be a life-time opportunity to witness the rarest traditions of Laos people. This is the second International show being organised by ICCR in Jammu after the setting up of its Regional office here. Earlier it hosted a performance of the music and dances of Zambia which vibrated Jammu stage through the energetic and mind-blowing Zambian dances. Minister for Tourism Nawang Rigzin Jora will be the Chief Guest on the occasion Director General of Police Ashok Prasad, will preside over the function. |
