| Tributes paid to G.M. Sadiq | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec12: Rich tributes were paid to G.M. Sadiq, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir on his death anniversary by the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee here today. An impressive function was held at PCC headquarters Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu which was presided over by Senior Vice President PCC Dharam Pal Sharma-Ex-MP and attended by senior functionaries of PCC, DCC, leaders of Frontal Organizations, Block Presidents and others. Dharam Pal Sharma described G.M. Sadiq as a most competent and able administrator who gave corruption free and efficient administration to the people of Jammu and Kashmir State. He played an important role to further cement the State- Centre relationship and brought J&K more closer to rest of the Country by taking several important and effective Constitutional measures, added Dharam Pal Sharma. Thakur Hari Singh Vice President PCC while paying tributes described G.M. Sadiq as a revolutionary and most honest leader whose thoughts, policies and programmes are relevant and guiding factors for all the times to come. He was first Congress Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and his tenure is remembered even today as an exemplary one in terms of clean and efficient administration. |
