| Chenab valley deputation calls on HM at Delhi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu/New Delhi, Dec 12 : Legislators and Senior Pradesh Congress Committee leaders from Jammu and Kashmir state led by Former Minister and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori called on Union Minister for Home Sushil Kumar Shinde and apprised him about various problems confronted by the general public and inhabitants of hilly and remote area of Erstwhile District Doda. In a press statement issued from New Delhi by MLA Inderwal, the delegation while raising different demands of people of remote areas of Chenab valley also demanded a special recruitment drive for the unemployed youth for the State in Central Government services may please be undertaken, as the State has limited resources. The deputation also seek union minister's personal intervention for creating extra 4000 Special Police Officer (SPOs) posts for erstwhile district Doda having only 25% road connectivity and are the far flung areas of the J&K state. Besides this they demanded the wages of SPO's may be increased in view of present market fluctuation. MLA Inderwal G M Saroori and other member of delegations also demanded to expedite sanction of all the pending projects submitted to Union government under militancy affected area scheme. They also demanded special financial package for Jammu And Kashmir State on the pattern of North-East. Shinde gave a patient hearing to demands put forth before him by delegation and assured them that the central government will consider all their demands on top priority.
