| Govt employees hold protest against non-implementation of agreement | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 12: A massive protest demonstration was held under the banner of Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee headed by Rauf Ahmad, President CSNGEU as per the scheduled programme. All the constituents of Coordination committee viz; CSNGEU, LGEU, State Motor Garages, Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council participated in the programme. The programme was a huge success and work in the Civil Secretariat remained completely paralysed for half day. Employees were raising slogans "Agreement Ko Lagoo Karo", "Government Order 168-PDD of 2012 Ko Revoke Karo" and "Coordination Committee Zindabad etc". The gathering was addressed by Chairman Coordination Committee/President Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union Rauf Ahmad, Apex of CSNGEU, President Lower Grade Employees Union Maqbool Hussain and other Executive Members. While addressing the Employees, Chairman has reiterated that the present dispensation does not believe in confrontation but, unfortunately have been pushed to the wall and left with no option but, to come on roads. In the mean time Government has invited Rauf Ahmad, Chairman Coordination Committee. The Chairman Coordination Committee along with Maqbool Hussain President LGEU had detailed discussion with the Principal Secretary to Hon'ble Chief Minister who has assured that the issues in focus will be sorted out at an earliest. Coordination Committee has decided that some time will be given to the Government to come up with a concrete programme for early resolution of all the pending issues, otherwise the Coordination Committee will be forced to take stringent measures to meet the demands. The Coordination Committee will meet shortly to chalk out future strategy. Chairman Coordination Committee has appealed all the employees in general and all the constituents of Coordination Committee in particular to remain united for up coming struggle.Chairman has once again appealed to the Chief Minister to personally intervene into the matter. |
