| Er Phonsa gets Dr Ambedkar national award | | | AGENCIES DELHI, Dec 12 : 928th Rashtriya Dalit Sahityakar Sammelan successfully concluded here. Er. H.R. Phonsa was awarded Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Award 2012 for contributions in the field of Dalit literature. The coveted award was presented by Dharam Guru Karamapa Trinale. Among others the award function was attended by Dr. Mata Prasad, Ex-Governor Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. Satya Narayan Jatia, Ex-Union Minister, Dr. S.P. Sumnakshar, International President BDSA, S. Hanumantha, Ex-Chairman SC/ST Commission, Jamuna Devi ex MP and scores of writers and social workers from all across the country and abroad. Prof. Rattan Lal Sonagra, a prominent Marathi and Hindi writer of national repute conducted proceedings of the event. While giving his key note address, Phonsa threw light on the contributions of prominent social reformers and political scientists who worked for establishing an egalitarian society. He called upon young writers to contribute and enrich the dalit literary domain. Phonsa a prolific writer has been actively involved in the field of social service at the State and National level. He writes on the topics of social justice, history of aborigine people and topics of social interest. |
