| CRPF distributes sports goods among youth under CAP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
ANANTNAG, Dec 12: Being committed to protect Country's unity and integrity and to spread a message of peace in the militancy prone areas of Jammu & Kashmir, CRPF with a hope is continuously working to win the heads and hearts of Kashmiri people by taking various developmental initiatives under Civic action program. Under the Civic Action Policy (CAP), that brings locals and security forces closer to each other, DIG(Ops), CRPF, Anantnag, O S Charak distributed sports goods and recreational items among the youths of Pahalgam valley, Commanding Officer of 116 Battalion CRPF was also present on the occasion. DIG (Ops) addressed the gathering and encouraged the students for playing a positive role at Sate as well as National level.
"Civic Action Programmes have gained much more importance in the prevailing situation as It helps in building mutual confidence and helps to improve the physical and psychological environment." He said Satish Kumar Linda, Commandant -116 Bn, on the occasion said that CRPF is leading an important role in the development of backward areas.
"CRPF has conducted various medical camps under Civic Action Programme to improve the health condition of people by providing sufficient medicines and free check-up at various spots in the Pahalgam valley." |
