| "Bar condemns action of "anti-national elements" | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur, Dec 12: District Bar Association Udhampur has strongly condemned the statements of "anti-national" elements including the militant outfits who have openly challenged the judicial system. In a statement a spokesperson of the Bar said an emergency meeting was held in which all the members of District Bar Association strongly condemned the action/statements of those anti-national elements including the militant outfits who have openly challenged the judicial system including the recent judgment pronounced by the TADA/POTA Court, Jammu on 3.12.12 whereby two militants were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment after they were found guilty. It was unanimously resolved in the meeting that such type of protests challenging the judicial system and administration of justice are highly condemnable and such elements should be dealt with stern hands and their action be deplored by the government. It was stressed upon the govt to beef up the security of all the judicial officers and their family members. The Association stressed upon the government to make all out arrangements to make the judicial system as a whole a secured phenomenon so that delivery of justice should not be discouraged. The Bar members abstained from work in the courts to observe complete strike to register their protest. |
