| Opening of Janger-Mirpur Kotli route demanded | | | Rajouri, Dec 12 : To incurage trade along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan, legislators, MLA Nowshera Radhey Shah Sharma (NC) and MLC Cong Ravinder Sharma have demanded to open up of Jangher to Meerpur Kotli route on similar pattern of Chakka-da-Bagh in Poonch for trading purposes.
The duo while speaking during the inaugural function of bridge at Hanjana, Nowshera in Rajouri district raised this demand where Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah attended the function as chief guest. Ravinder Sharma and Radhe Sham Sharma pleaded with Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister to take up this issue with centre government for opening up of land trade route from Janger with Pakistan in their speeches. Omar Abdullah has assured him will take up these matters with Central Government include other minister concerned for possible solutions.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today also said that he has always batted for good Indo-Pak relations and resolution of issues between the two neighbours through peaceful dialogue process and would continue to work in this direction. |
