| Jan inaugurates construction school building | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch, Dec 22 : Gagrian village earned the privilege of being the first in Mandi Block to witness commencement of the construction of new buildings with Rs. 58.14 lakh funding under RMSA (Rastriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan) in the presence of the Brigadier Mango 93inf. Poonch, Dy CEO Mr Fani and all the concerned Sarpanch and Panch of the area.
The school that was only a Middle level institution since the long, till this year also enjoys the distinction of being the first in the Block to be transformed into a high school at one go under the RMSA. Launching the construction activities, Jan ensured that the school will set yet another precedent by securing higher secondary status by next year.
Jan saw in the pro-active role of villagers by way of making available of land for the school's upgrade.
Development of schools is not all about increasing infrastructure; societal participation is a determiner of an institution's progress, he said.
Jan attributed the growth of government schools to the huge and ever-increasing budgetary allocation by the Chief Minister. |
