| Saroori again in soup, SVO get complaint of bunglings in MGNREGA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 22: MLA Inderwal and ex-Minister Ghulam Mohammed Saroori is again in trouble over having committed serious regularities in the implementation of different Government schemes being implemented by Rural Development Ministry.
A complaint has reached State Vigilance Organization wherein the complainant has alleged bunglings in different Government schemes, laying at the disposal of MLA. He has demanded inquiry besides having forwarded a copy of the complaint to Chief Minister, Union Minister RDD, Minister RDD, Jammu and Kashmir, Addl DG Crime and Comptroller and Auditor General of India, a copy of which is in possession of ET.
In the complaint, the complainant has alleged that crores of rupees have been engulfed in the names of fake works under MGNREGA viz; road connectivity, flood protection, land development, irrigation and plantation. Besides these works, large scale scandals have been surfaced in IAY,BRGF and CDF.
From the perusal of the official record which is available with the complainant as the same has been obtained under RTI it reveals that the officials have drawn crores of rupees against fake works whereas nothing is there on ground. It is further alleged that to withdraw the money from Government exchequer maximum withdrawal have been made in the name of skilled labourers and against the cost of material.
To fulfil their nefarious designs they have drawn 70 to 80% of money especially in pretext work under these heads as materials cost and skilled labour. The complainant further alleged that in the year 2011-12 these officials have withdrawn Rs 33 lakh in the name of land development mentioning location as Inderwal C2 to Inderwal C30 whereas no site or name of beneficiary or the nomenclature has been disclosed.
Similarly under the head of flood control Rs 22 lakh have been illegally withdrawn for the same Panchayat. Besides these, fake withdrawal of Rs 26.301 lakh have been withdrawn in the name of Kucchal AI to Kucchal A23 with no nomenclature or name of location. In the same way Rs 24 lakhs have been withdrawn for flood control in the same Panchayat Kucchal B, Rs 26.30 lakh have been withdrawn for flood control and Rs 26.40 lakh have been withdrawn for Kucchal B 1 to 24 in the name of land development.
The complainant further alleged that in Lower Chatroo Rs 23.10 lakh have been withdrawn with no work on ground in the name of land development. In the same Panchayat Rs 23.101 lakh have been withdrawn in the name of flood control. In the Drubeel Panchayat Rs 22 lakhs have been withdrawn under head of flood control with name of work Drubeel A to T.In Panchayat Hurna crores of rupees have been withdrawn with no work on ground.
