| Model Academy celebrates Christmas Day | | |  early times report
Jammu, Dec 22: Model Academy and Humming Buds, the pre-school, organized a colourful function to mark the celebrations of Christmas and New Year. Students presented various items including Christmas Car-ols sung by the choir group and a skit by the students of Dramatic Club on the theme of corruption and spreading the message of truth and honesty as preached by Lord Jesus. The students dressed as Santa Claus went around the classes and distributed sweets to all the children and staff members in the campus. Nishtha of class 7th gave a speech highlighting the teachings of Lord Jesus. Clad in colourful dresses the buds of the preschool wing danced on the tunes of popular songs amidst sharing gifts and sweets among themselves thus making it a festival of friendship and joy. The Principal, Rupa Gupta spoke very high of the students and their calibre. She enlightened the audience on Christmas celebration and also called for introspection of oneself in the outgoing year and for all good resolutions for the coming new year. She added that the world should go as taught by Lord Jesus and everyone should live in peace and harmony. Chairman, Dr. Arun Gupta, Director, Dr. Renu Gupta and the Joint Director, Dr. Adit Gupta, congratulated all the staff and students on the occasion. Dr. Arun Gupta in his message impressed upon them to work with dedication to raise the standard of academic performance in the institution even more and advised everyone to follow the path of universal brotherhood, unity and equality.
Usha Gadoo, Vice Principal appreciated the efforts put in by the entire team of the students and staff along with her best wishes.
