| One held with 288 pouches of illicit liquor | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Dec 22: Police today claimed to have arrested one person alongwith 288 pouches of illicit liquor which were recovered from his possession at Chanderkote.
As per police reports during naka checking on the NHW Chanderkote, the naka party intercepted a Truck (JK05- 1507) which was on its way from Jammu towards Srinagar, during checking Police recovered 288 pouches of illicit liquor.
Police arrested the bootlegger whose identification has been ascerianed namely as Narinder Paul Singh s/o Tara Singh of Rafi Abad Baramulla (driver of truck). During investigation the accused revealed that he was carrying these liquor pouches towards Valley for selling purpose.
A Case against FIR No. 65/12/2012 U/S 48 (A) Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Chanderkote.
