| Unemployed youth demand immediate filling of vacant posts | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: Educated unemployed youth whose number as per the record of the employment exchanges has swelled to over six lakhs have urged the government to set up committee of experts especially former bureaucrats and judges to examine ways and means for resolving the problem of unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir. A number of unemployed Association leaders including Bashir Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed, Naveen Chander and Roshan Lal said that the Committee be asked to identify number of posts that are vacant in various departments. They said that the committee be also asked to identify vacant posts in the six universities which includes Jammu University, Kashmir University, two universities of agricultural Sciences, and the two in Rajouri and Awantipora. They also stated that the Government needs to resolve the problem of unemployment step by step. "We are aware of the financial constraints faced by the government but at the same time vacant posts have to be filled." Describing the government's approach to the problem of unemployment totally faulty the unemployed youth demanded a review of the issue by the committee so that some better ways were found for mitigating the difficulties of the unemployed youth. |
