Omar cooling off in London.......!

Jammu, Dec 26: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is away in London, and will be back after celebrating Christmas and New Year with his family members.
He is expected to resume duties in the first week of the January.
Omar Abdullah, though elected in a West Minister Parliamentary democracy, makes it a point to enjoy vacations as per the US presidential system.
Even though he is away from the State but is keeping himself update and tweeting about events. A proposal by the State Power Development Corporation has been cleared by him from the London itself.
The CM had before moving to London presided a function in Goa and also attended to scheduled assignments in N Delhi. Though, he made it a point to condole the death of the police personnel.
Omar is away from the State when the weather is quite turbulent with the possibility of the highway remaining blocked looming large. There is also a quite possibility that Valley may receive huge snowfall, which could affect essential supplies and power supply also.
The administration in his absence is not expected to take decision in a speedy manner, which is expected of it. Bureaucratic system responds efficiently when made to do by the head of the Government with his personal attendance.
The absence of Omar also comes at a time when coordination committee of the will discuss the report of its leaders on contentious 73rd Constitutional Amendment. It's also the time ministries under his charge- power and PWD- though both belong to Cong- needs more focused attention in the crucial times.
CM is away from the State when he is seated in Jammu-though he makes a point to be away from here- and when people have the opportunity to meet him, especially those from far off areas of Kishtwar and Bani.
Dr Farooq Abdullah once said he came to know of riots in Jammu-in 1987- only after opening the curtains of this office chamber. Former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi was famously photographed holidaying with his families.
Both the leaders paid heavily politically for these acts.
