| PK announces schedule for National Convention | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: Panun Kashmir (PK) is all set to give a comprehensive socio-political and cultural direction to the "religiously cleansed" Kashmiri Pandit community at the National Convention to be held on December 28 here. Addressing the community members PK General Secretary Kuldeep Raina said, "Keeping in view the emerging situation and the sense of desperation in the KP community, PK is all set to take the community out the sense of dejection and intimidation being inflicted upon the community by the forces who want to annihilate the cultural and civilisation moorings of the KPs." Explaining the programmee schedule of Convention to celebrate the "Homeland Day" Raina said," The programme will be divided into two sessions. The inaugural session will set the discourse in motion regarding the challenges being faced by the KP community at all levels, ranging from social to political, economic to religious. The post lunch session will be devoted to pass the resolutions that cover all the spheres and all the resolutions will be drafted into a comprehensive document to uphold the Margdarshan Resolution for the creation of the Homeland with the Union Territory status in Kashmir with the free flow of the Indian constitution." He claimed the KP community has given tremendous response to the registration process for the convention and more than 1000 delegates from all over the country have been registered for the event. "The youth and the women are folk are looking keenly towards the convention for the comprehensive direction as the overall identity and human rights of the community are at stake. PK appeals to the entire community and all the nationalist forces to join the convention at the Green Land Palace, Muthi Jammu at 10 am." |
