Save elephants painting competition held

EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 26 : WWF-India and Wildlife Trust of India conducted national painting contest "Haathi Mere Saathi" here on Wednesday. Schools from all over the India are participating in the contest which includes two schools from J&K State Army School Ratnuchak and Army School Kaluchak.
Students who participated were Sachin Choudary (Class IX), Harshul Shrivastava (Class VIII), Komal Bassan (Class VII) Tanishka Sharma (Class VI), Gourav Sharma (Class IX), Manpreet Singh (Class IX), Koshika Pandey (Class VII) and Divisha (Class VIII).
The event is held to educate and aware the youth about conservation of elephants who are being killed every year for their valuable tusks and ivory.
