| Devotees pay homage at Shiv Parivar Cave | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Rajouri, Dec 26 : Thousands of devotees paid homage in Shiv Parivar Cave regarded as one of the mostly visit religious and tourist destination of this border district. The Shiv Parivar Cave Committee had organised a religious programme in the Cave where devotees from Rajouri as well as outer parts of the state paid homage. In the wee hours a Havan was performed where prayers were offered for peace, humanity and brotherhood in the world. In the middle hours a Bhandarwas organised. Chairman of the Committee Yogesh Sharma and Committee member Sumit Bhargav said the Cave is an example of religious brotherhood and constructive atmosphere in the area. They also informed that locals have constituted a 101 member committee comprising 16 Muslim and 15 Sikh members. Lambasting over the casual approach of tourism authority, Sharma said that even after sanctioning of multi crore project for the cave, no work has yet been started and tourists as well as devotees face hardships. A local Muslim Mohammad Zaman Ahmed also showed resentment against authorities who have "failed to setup necessary infrastructure around the Cave." |
