Rajouri, Jan 3: The normal functioning of various government departments came to stand today after engineering employees of various wings went on full day token strike in support of an Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD by demanded strict legal action against Naib-Tesildar who alleged manhandled of an Assistant Executive Engineer, in full public view on yesterday when he went to Rekiban area of Darhal to pacify a protest launched by locals.
Showing their anguish all wings of engineering departments in district Rajouri today stopped their working since morning massive number of employees of all wings gathered at District Development Office, Rajouri where they had lodged protest by expressing their deep anguish over the incident, they have also demanded suspension of Naib Tehsildar Farooq Anwar for manhandling of an AEE, Ravi Raina in full public view,
However, employees have also threatened to go on indefinite strike across district from tomorrow. If no legal action will be taken against him.
PWD Rajouri, Sadiq Wani said that working in all engineering department today remained affected because of the stir. Employees of various engineering wings gathered in DC, Office in support of AEE, still the meeting is going between the union and DC Rajouri over the issue. They union employees also met with SSP Rajouri and discussed this issue.
He said we want this issue should be resolved early as possible so that normal life of the people could affect from strike.
District Development Commissioner (DDC), Rajouri Saugat Biswas said, "We had already taken up this issue seriously by incited an inquiry against both the officials and constituted four member committee was instructed to submit their report within three days" however, he denied any such strike called by employees from tomorrow. |
