Jammu, Jan 3 (JNF): Vigilance Organization Jammu today presented challan in disproportionate assets case to the tune of Rs 1, 35, 11, 247.07 against Mohd Bashir the then Tehsildar Jammu, his wife Hamida Begum presently Govt Teacher and one Kamal Singh s/o Amar Nath r/o Channi-Himmat Model Town a property dealer. According to the VOJ a case facts of the case are that the verification conducted into the allegations of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known source of income by Mohd Bashir then the Tehsildar Jammu has shown both moveable and immovable assets which are disproportionate to his known source of income. On this basis a FIR NO 15/2010 was registered. It is worthwhile to mention here that this challan has been presented after the High Court had allowed the Investigating Officer to file the challan against Mohd Bashir the then Tehsildar Jammu in FIR No 15/2010 before the Court of competent jurisdiction. High Court further issued direction to the Trial Court not to proceed with the Trial till next date of hearing. Today after completion of investigation Vigilance Orga-nziation presented challan against Mohd Bashir the then Tehsildar Jammu, his wife Hamida Begum presently Govt Teacher and one Kamal Singh u/s /S 5(1) (e) r/w 5(2) J&K Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt 2006 r/w section 109/120-B RPC, 12/14 Public Men and Public servants declaration of assets and other provisions Act 1983 and Section 3/4 of J&K Benami Transaction (prohibition) Act, 2010 in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu. Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu after going through the challan, granted bail to all the three accused with direction that theywill furnish bail bond and surety bond to the tune of Rs 50,000 each. |
