Jammu, Jan 3: District Congress Committee Jammu (Urban) today held deliberations on the recruitment policy enunciated by Jammu and Kashmir government, wherein only initial pay shall be given to new appointees. With one voice all those present in the meeting appealed to government to review this decision. The meeting stressed that efforts should be made to strengthen Congress right from the ward level. Former MLA Om Chopra who chaired the meeting called up on the block presidents to convene meetings to ascertain the day to day difficulties faced by the people and bring them in to the notice of District Congress Committee for their redressal. "District Congress Committee will project the demands and problems of people of Jammu urban to the government for immediate remedial action," he said. Prominent among those present in the meeting were Krishan Lal.
