Inyat Malik calls on Hr Edu Minister; discusses problems regarding JU campuses

Kishtwar, Jan 3: Director Kishtwar Campus of Jammu University Prof Shohab Inayat Malik Thursday apprised higher education minister Abdul Gani Malik about problems faced by Jammu University campuses in general and Kishtwar Campus in particular.
The minister was informed by Inyat that state government has not released the financial grant of the campuses till date "due to which offsite campuses of Jammu University were facing a lot of problems."
He was also informed that 101 kanals of land for Kishtwar Campus has been identified and notified by the Revenue Department "but due to non payment of compensation to the owners of the land."
The director further told minister that Kishtwar Campus is running M. Sc IT, M. Sc. Geology (Hydrology & Soil Dynamics), M.A. Kashmiri, PGDCA and all the courses are being taught by contractual staff.
"The campus has also no permanent non-teaching staff and demanded post for teaching and non-teaching staff be created in the Kishtwar Campus and other campuses of Jammu University."
