| 9 yrs term, fine awarded to lady for getting appointment on fake certificate | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 7 (JNF) : City Judge Jammu Abdul Nasir today awarded nine years sentenced and fine Rs 15000/- to Sariya Begum who allegedly got appointment in ISM as nursing orderly on the fake education certificate. According to the Vigilance case that one Sariya Begum d/o Abdul Samad Dar r/o Doda city appointed as Nursing orderly at Govt Ayurvedic Dispensary Thethar Doda on fake educational qualification certificate of middle 8th student produced by her before then Asst District Medical Officer Doda reportedly issued by the headmaster Govt Girl High School Doda under the file No 7 dated January 15, 1982 found to be fictitious as per report of Principal Govt Higher Secondary School Doda vide his letter dated October 27, 2001. During verification it was verified from School Admission Register, the name of Sariya Begum does not exists anywhere in the school record during the period March 17, 1971 to December 24, 1980 and submitted the copies of school leaving certificate counter files of the year 1982 wherein the name of Shamim AKhter d/o Bashir Ahmed existed on the counter file bearing No 7 instead Sariya Begum. After completion of investigation VOJ presented challan in the court of law. City Judge Jammu Abdul Nasir after hearing both the sides convicted Sariya Begum u/s 420/468/471 RPC and awarded three years imprisonment and fine Rs 5000 u/s 420 RPC & further awarded three years imprisonment and fine Rs 5000 u/s 468 RPC & awarded three years imprisonment and fine Rs 5000 u/s 471 RPC. Court further clarified that all the sentences shall run concurrently. |
