JAMMU, Jan 7: Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council in a meeting held here today mourned the sad demise of Sumitra Devi, mother-in-law of Council's vice-president and Minister for Sports, R S Chib.
The condolence meeting besides others was attended by Secretary and other staff of the Sports Council.
The staff also expressed their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to give courage to the family to sustain he irreparable loss.
Meeting also prayed to bestow peace upon the departed soul.
The last rites of the departed soul, who is survived by two sons, performed at Jogi Gate cremation ground, here this afternoon.
