| Sanatan Dharam Sabha organizes prog to celebrate Lohri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 13 : Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu organized a programme in connection with the celebration of "Lohri Festival".
The programme was presided over by MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria and Chairman, J&K Legislature Council Amrit Malhotra, were the Chief Guest.
The student of schools run by the Sabha presented colourful items which included group dance and patriotic songs.
MLA Ashok Khajuria while addressing the participants eulogized heads of the participant schools their staff and students.
He spoke about the historical background of Lohri festival and termed it a festival which stands for national unity and communal harmony and expressed concern over raising heads of communal and caste forces in the country.
While speaking on the occasion, Amrit Malhotra highlighted the social; and religious importance of Lohri. The prizes were distributed among participating schools. |
