| Bhalla launches Rs 25 lakh dev works at Gandhi Nagar | | | | JAMMU, Jan 13 : Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has said peace is imperative for making Jammu and Kashmir a progressive and prosperous State and sought people's cooperation to turn it into reality. The Minister was addressing to a large gathering at Poly Hill Estate in Channi Rama, after launching construction work of two kilometer long nallah, costing Rs. 20 lakh here today. The Minister said the project has been started and would be completed within stipulated time frame. He asked the officers to personally monitor the quality of work, adding that any laxity on the part of quality could not tolerate at any level. Bhalla said that Government has earmarked Rs. 68 crore for up-gradation of Landoi Choi nallah from Jodhamal School to Gangyal, adding that the project would be started by ERA after immediately completing the tendering formalities. Responding to the demands of Poly Hill Estates and Nidesh Enclave of Channi Rama areas, the Minister asked the R&B and JMC to prepare a detailed project report under their respective departments for the and submit the same for funding so that work on the projects is started early Regarding opening of new ration depot and Matador service at Poly Hill Estates, Bhalla said the matter has been taken up with the CA&PD authorities for early action. He said Government was making all out efforts to develop all the new colonies with all basic amenities like drinking water, road connectivity, healthcare, improved power supply, educational facilities besides better lanes and drains. |
