| AIBCU seeks CM's intervention over alleged land grabbing by mafia | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 18: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today alleged that nexus between land Mafias, revenue officials and police is depriving the poor farmers of Shaksinga area, here. As per press release issued here today, AIBCU claimed that administration was not considering the genuine case of victims of land grabbers. Farmers namely Krishan Lal son of Buchi Lohar, Rajinder Kumar son of Mohan Lal and Tersem Kumar son of Panjabu have alleged that there land had been grabbed by land mafias with the conveniences of revenue official. They alleged, "About six months back, the then Patwari Rajinder Singh, presently at Chakchangarwan and then Naib Tehsildar Minshi Ram tempered the record and allotted the land to Mela Ram son of Nandu resident of Chaksinga and Simro Devi wife of Brita and daughter in law of Nandu vide Khasra number 320, 211, 312, and 321 of village Chaksinga. These persons gave general power of attorney to Supinder Singh son of Raghubir Singh resident of Chaksinga." "Then we approached the court of Joint Commissioner Agrarian Commission with power of Commissioner Agrarian reforms which state the wrong full doing vide number 734/Agr/Ap dated May 16, 2012. The stay order copy was supplied to Tehsildar Jammu Shesh Pal who further written the Naib Tehsildar and SHO Police station Ghrota on same day but Naib Tehsildar refused to implemented the court orders" they added. They further claimed that they were repeatedly being deprived by the revenue official, Police and Mafia. "With help of police the mafia has been creating fear among the residents of said village" they said The AIBCU has requested Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for the safeguard of victims of land mafia and corrupt administration. |
