Jammu, Jan 31: In Jammu Kashmir, the 55 day annual Amarnath Yatra would commence on June 28, 2013 and the registration process would commence before March 1, 2013. This was decided during Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, meeting held in New Delhi on Thursday under the chairmanship of Jammu and Kashmir, Governor, N. N. Vohra, who is also the Chairman of the Board. During the meeting, it was decided that for undertaking the pilgrimage, the Yatries would have to furnish a Compulsory Health Certificate in a predefined format. Only those Compulsory Health Certificates would be considered valid, which are issued only by duly authorized doctors and medical institutes after February 1, 2013. The Board Members also decided that the online registration would be discontinued by the Board and no e-yatra permits would be considered valid for the Yatra. No yatri below the age of 13 years or above the age of 75 years and no pregnant lady with more than six weeks pregnancy should be allowed to undertake the Yatra. |
