| People rue scarcity of Kerosene in Vijaypur | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 31: People of Vijaypur town and its adjoining villages have been facing pressing scarcity of kerosene for the last few days and their representation to the local administration have yielded nothing.
Sources discloseD that for the last few weeks, the supplies of the common man's fuel have been irregular, causing great deal of difficulty to the poor people. "The LPG shortage has triggered shortage of Kerosene as well AS consumers resorted to storage in apprehension of a shortfall during winter as a result of which the Kerosene is in short supply," said Narinder Singh, a local. "Earlier, we used to have supplies from the CAPD periodically, but this time, the supplies have been erratic to the dismay and discontentment of the locals," he said.
"A large population of Vijaypur town and its peripheral villages depends on Kerosene for its primary fuel requirements especially during winter and there may be a chaos if supplies are not augmented at the earliest" said Teerath Singh, a retired Government employee of the town. |
