Avinash Azad JAMMU, Jan 31: Already grappling with massive un- employment and shrinking avenues for youth in State, the Government is mulling extension to some 25 KAS officers, most probably the blue eyed ones, out of forty six 1955 born officers, as it has issued notification of retirement with regards to only 21 KAS officers. Irked over withholding retirement orders of about 25 KAS officers, a senior KAS officer told Early Times that grounds are being prepared for granting extension to the blue eyed candidates after attaining age of superannuation as some of them are close relatives of the Minister and noted political leaders. Preferring anonymity he said, "there are more efficient officers in the fray to handle top responsibilities, but Government wants to grant extensions to the chosen few by projecting them as inevitable." "We have given our life to the service of State, with dedication and on this stage of superannuation we are feeling cheated, as Government has held the name of 1955 born, 25 KAS officers. There must be equality for everyone, chances should be given to the new entrants," he added.
