EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Feb 9: To mark its foundation day on February 19, the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) has decided to celebrate it as "Duggar Shaurya Diwas".
This was stated by District President Jammu Urban Arun Khanna in a press conference held here today.
"Since the formation of our party on February 19, 2012 we have never looked back. At present we have a large workers' network and well organized State political body under the guidance of our President Anil Gupta. Our objective is to raise vigorously the burning issues related to this State especially Jammu region, which the existing political groups and so called advocates of Jammu aspirations have surrendered for the sake of power politics and personal interests. These groups in connivance with ruling parties have always betrayed the people of Jammu," said Arun Khanna.
"Our party held various protest demonstrations under the leadership of Anil Gupta to awake the Government regarding issues like eradication of growing unemployment, allowance for unemployed youth, discrimination in public services, basic amenities to people on different forums," said Khanna. He said that as a part of Duggar Shaurya Diwas programme, JKDF shall organize a separate blood donation camps on February 15 and 16. On each day hundreds of JKDF activists shall donate blood. Further from February 17 to 19 all major rotaries of Jammu City shall be suitably decorated to give a bright look to Jammu city. "On February 19, a large motor cycle/car rally shall be organized from Dushehra Ground, Gandhi Nagar followed by a cultural programme at Medical College Ground, Resham Ghar Colony Jammu," informed Khanna.
