| Youth stabbed over 'cricket match' | | |

Rajouri, Feb 9: A youth allegedly was stabbed by his colleague over a dispute which took place few days ago while plying cricket match in border district here today.
As per sources Ashfaq Ahmed son of Mohammad Shabir and Azaz Ahamad son of Mohd Rafiq both residents of Kheora and had some dispute during a friendly cricket match being played few days ago at sports stadium. However the matter was then settled by some of their friends on that day but today in a fit of rage Ashfaq attacked Azaz with a knife while the latter was passing in front of his house in the evening today. Profusely bleeding Azaz was immediately shifted to nearby district hospital while his assaulter has fled to evade his arrest. Following the complaint filed by the victim police has registered a case under section 307 RPC against Ashfaq Ahmad. "Police party is conducting raids to apprehend the absconding Ashfaq" said V K Gupta, SHO, Rajouri. |
