Villagers hold protest against PDD 2/10/2013 1:11:39 AM Kathua, Feb 9: The villagers of village Chack Sajjan have held protest demanding installation of new transformer, here today. Hundreds of residents of Chack Sajjan were gathered under the leadership of former power minister Babu Singh against the PDD Kathua for being failed to install the new transformer which has been lying out of order for the last six days. Addressing the protestors Babu Singh said that the villagers have been living without electricity for the last six days due to damaged 100 KV transformers in the village. "More than 120 families are badly affected in which majority of the students whose examinations are yet to come after some time. Due to power failure in the area, the electronic equipments are also affected, and caused economical loss also." He said and demanded that PDD should take this problem on priority by installing the new transformer as soon as possible.
