Jammu, Mar 13: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) has castigated Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah over his statement regarding revocation of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) in Jammu and Kashmir. According to press release, the activists of DFSS under the leadership of its President Ashok Gupta have taken out a procession from Domana to Jewel Chowk, here on Wednesday. "Revocation of AFSPA from state will boost the morale of the terrorists, which resulted dreadful attack on the CRPF camp on Wednesday and claimed lives of five CRPF Jawans" he said. Addressing the gathering Gupta stated that the coalition government and the opposition party were wasting the time of house by discussing the death of Afzal Guru. "On the contrary Leader of the opposition Mehbooba Mufti condemned the attack on the CRPF Jawans but in the house PDP has halted the working of the assembly over the issue of Afzal Guru" he added. Referring statement given by the Union Home Secretary that prior information was provided to the state in regard to the militant activities in the valley but no action was taken in concern of the information which has claimed lives of CRPF Jawans on Wednesday's attack in valley, Gupta said in such situation Omar is demanding revocation of AFSPA. During the rally other leaders of DFSS also addressed the gathering. |
