NPP demands Governor Rule in J&K

New Delhi, Mar 13: National Panthers Party (NPP) activists held a protest in front of the Parliament here on Wednesday demanding immediate dismissal of the J&K government which the claimed had failed to protect the lives and property of the people.
The NPP activists led by its Chief Patron, Prof. Bhim Singh who is also a senior Executive Member of the Supreme Court Bar Association protested in front of Parliament.
Prof Singh in his brief message to the people of the Country and the Members of the Parliament said, "J&K government has failed in totality in all fronts and has become a security risk and therefore it has no right to stay even for a minute."
The Panthers Party in its emergency meeting organized through video conference urged the Governor, N N Vohra to exercise his power u/s. 92 of the Constitution of J&K by dismissing the present government of National Conference and Congress "which is loathed in corruption besides has proved mother of terrorism in J&K."
It said that the Chief Minister who has taken oath to uphold the sovereignty, unity
and integrity of India had declared on the floors of the Assembly that Accession of J&K with the Union of India is not complete and further defied the Supreme Court judgment by calling a convict as, 'Hon'ble' (Sahib).
The NPP held National Conference and Chief Minister directly responsible for the massacre "as the local police had failed to act and the Chief Minister has not identified the killers." The NPP said that the State government wanted to divert the attention of the Centre from Faizan episode and Yousuf Haji's custodial murder by creating today's horror.
The Panthers Party appealed the Members of the Parliament irrespective of their party affiliation or political ideologies to amend Article 370 of the Constitution of India empowering the Parliament to legislate in respect of Central Subjects vis-à-vis J&K
to strengthen national integration.
The Panthers Party leaders who held the video conference included Harsh Dev Singh, MLA, Chairman, JKNPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA, President-JKNPP, Yashpaul Kundal, MLA, General Secretary-JKNPP, Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah, MLC, President, Young Panthers, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Provincial President, Kashmir, Faqir Nath, Provincial President, Jammu Pradesh, Masood Andrabi, Iqbal Choudhary, S. Daljit Singh (Vice Presidents), Anita Thakur, H.C. Jalmeria, Shanti Swaroop Basotra.
