Jammu, Mar 13: A delegation of Power Development Department (PDD) daily wagers from Kathua led by JKPDTU State President Suresh Sharma met PDD Chief Engineer Shenaz Goni today to discuss various issues confronting daily wages of the PDD.
The delegation comprised of Basoli, Billawer, Kathua, Hiranagar, Vijaypur mostly PDLs, Sharma apprised the officer that Kathua electric Division was created way back in 1962 when the number of sub-stations were 150 and the length of LT/HT line was 1100 km but no attention has been given to Kathua when infrastructure has increased eight time since then. He demanded that fresh look be given to reorganization of this division so that number of posts are created and man power working on daily wages is adjusted against the newly created posts. |
