Jammu, Mar 13: Deputy Chairman, J&K legislative Council M.Y. Taing on Wednesday inaugurated an Art exhibition by O.P Sharma painter and lensman of Jammu, at Kala Kendra, Jammu. According to press release, about 30 workers have been put on display in this exhibition Triloke Kaul, Veteran Painter presided over where as Lalit Sharma. IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests was the Guest of Honour. While inaugurating the show Taing expressed his happiness that Sharma has displayed his talent of painting whereas he has been contributing in the flied of Photography. He said that such Exhibitions give ample opportunities to an artist to get a platform to project his talent in the society. The worker is mainly painted in Acrylic medium on different hues of natural beauty. He has generally wide landscape in isolation showing his love towards open space and natural beauty. Sharma has played an active role in art activities at State as well as National level. He has not only been with participation in art exhibition and art camps but with organization work also he is well versed only not only with pointing but with photography also. He has earned name by getting awarded at National level in photopharghy and Painting. He is working as Directors J&K cetre for creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu which is regularly executing art camps and Exhibitions in Jammu & Kashmir and otusite the state, The exhibition will reamin open upto 15th March, 2013 between 1100 Am to 0600 Pm Daily. |
