UDHAMPUR, Mar 13: The National Integration Camp organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GOI scheme concluded last evening. District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, P.K. Pole was the chief guest on the valedictory function. Appreciating the efforts of organizer, the DDC said that such camps are important to spread the message of mutual co-existence and brotherhood. He said the youth has a special role in nation building and shaping the future of the country. He said youth has to get actively involved in various social activities to bring a positive change in the system. He called upon the participants to exchange their experiences and ideas for promoting national integration. National integration camp inculcate the spirit of communal harmony and sensitize the youth about their role and responsibilities in National Building, he added. He also highlighted the diverse feature of J&K state which depicts unity in diversity. District Youth Coordinator, NYK gave brief resume of the activities conducted during camp. As many as 150 youth hailing from six states including Punjab, HP, MP, Uttrakhand, Mahrastra and Harayana participated in the camp. Among others, District Information Officer, Dr. Jagdish Mehra, District Youth Coordinator, Kathua, Som Dut Jat, social workers, prominent citizens and NYK volunteers were present on the occasion. |
