JAMMU, Mar 13: Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police, Jammu has invited entries from interested shuttlers in different age groups of boys and girls for the proposed badminton tournament in the Winter Capital.
The registration of players shall start tomorrow at Armed Range office, here for four different age categories of Sub-Junior (U-15), Junior (U-17), Open and Veterans (above 55 years). "The event is being organised under Civic Action Programme to help promote the game of badminton among youth of the state," Deputy Inspector General of Police, Armed Range Jammu, Johnny William told siad.
Since the DIG himself was a shuttler of repute and remained state champion for many years, he took the initiative to provide the budding players a platform to excel.
