KATHUA: In order to discuss arrangements for Shri Amarnathji yatra which is scheduled to commence from June 28th ,2013, District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Jatinder Kumar Singh convened a meeting of Officers of various departments here today.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Ajay Jamwal, DC Excise Toll Post, Lakhanpur Mushtaq Ahmed, DC Commercial Taxes Toll Post, Lakhanpur Pankaj Magotra, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, CEO, Kathua, ARTO Kathua ,Executive officers MC Lakhanpur & Kathua, Tehsildar, Kathua CMO, Kathua attended the meeting. During the meeting threadbare discussion was held regarding boarding and lodging of Shri Amarnath yatries, provision for safe drinking water, temporary toilets, uninterrupted power supply and security at the langer places and other sites.
DDC framed a committee to check the hygiene and prices of essential commodities at Lakhanpur and Kathua town. Directions were further passed for keeping a check on overcharging if any in the hotels.
The directions were passed to the police to make fool proof security arrangements at Lakhanpur & langer sites.
A committee will ensure arrangements of boarding and lodging of Amarnath yatries which will submit its report regarding the accommodation details and other facilities within a week’s time. |
