early Times Report BATOTE: A three day Legal Awareness Seminar cum Lok Adalat concluded here today. On the last day of the campaign a Legal Awareness Seminar was organized at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Batote, by the District Legal Aid Society of Ramban under the Chairmanship of Sub-Judge, Batote, Naushad Ahmed Khan and under the supervision of the Chairman, Tehsil Legal Service Society, CJM, Ramban, Mohd.Rafiq Chak. On the occasion students of GHSS and Government Girls High School, Batote expressed their views on the issues of Child Labour and Empowerment of Women. The students also presented an educational short skit on the Women empowerment. While appreciating the views of the students on the topics, the Sub-Judge, NA Khan underlined the importance of women and their significant role our families and society and exhorted the public to respect and empower them to strengthen the society and nation . CJM,MR Chak informed about stringent laws and establishment of fast track courts by the government for the speedy justice in women related cases, protecting modesty, honour and lives of women in India. During the first two days five cases were solved with mutual reconciliation and settlement in the Lok Adalat at Batote. A Legal Awareness Camp cum Lok Adalat was also organised at Sanasar yesterday. |
