| Govt ensuring road connectivity, essential facilities at door steps: Vikar | | | BANIHAL: Coalition government is committed to provide road connectivity to the every residential area of the state and make available essential facilities to rural masses at their door steps. This was stated by the Minister of State for Technical Education, Information, Power, CAPD, Vikar Rasool Wani while addressing a huge gathering at Neel Bhatoo of Block Ramsoo in tehsil Banihal on Sunday.
Vikar said that projects taken in hand would on completion would change the socio- economic profile of the people of the area adding that all efforts are being made by the centre and state government to implement series of flagship programmes successfully in every nook and corner of the state.
Officers of different departments, sarpanches, Panches and prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
While specking on the occasion Minister announced Food store for Neel, New PHC building at Neel at an estimated cost of rupees one crore, Dakbanglow at Neel, Play ground at Multrigam, The work will start soon on the said projects. He said that electric bills payment in bank of area will also start soon to facilitate the consumers.
He further informed the public that the Hawagon to Neel Bhatoo road and other ongoing roads projects of the area will be completed at the earliest. He said that Technical training programmes in different trades have also been started to increase the employment opportunities for the youth.
He asked the officers of Social welfare and other departments to organized awareness camp in area so that people can avail benefit of the various schemes lunched by the government for poor and needy peoples.
Earlier local representatives apprised the minister with demands and problems being faced by the people of the area. Peoples demanded various road projects which includes Hewadhan to Bhordar, Bhatoo to Gogani, Gogani to Tatik ladnihal, Bhramje to Gagernag and up gradation of Chambalbas Neel road. Education zone for Neel, Separate Block for Neel chambalbas, Electrification of uncovered areas, start of sharternall to Bohardar Water supply scheme, more Health and Anganwari Centre was also demanded for the area. Responding to the demands of the people Minister said that various projects are under implementation and assured the people that their genuine demands will be taken up on priority. |
