| Border village Novgaran to get Sub-Health Center: Shabir | | ‘Rs 1.73 crore to be expended in Dongi, Rajouri blocks under BADP’ | | Early Times Report
rajouri, Apr 28: Minister of State for Health, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan has said that government is paying focused heed for the overall development of border and hilly area adding that Rs 1.73 crore would be expended in Rajouri and Dongi Panchayat blocks for upgradation of basic amenities during current financial year under the Border Area Development Progamme. Addressing a public meeting today at border village Novgaran in Rajouri, the Minister said that a sub-health center would be opened this financial year in the village for providing health care to the villagers at their door steps. He said to provide road connectivity to Androoth Panchayat halqa via Bugla and Thondigasi the construction work of the road has been taken up at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore, which would be completed this fiscal. The Minister said in order to meet out the water scarcity problem in the area the work on Water Supply Scheme, Androoth would be completed this year. He said the left over un- electrified villages and hamlets would be also covered under electricity facility this financial year under RGGVY and RAPDRAP. He said more over the educational infrastructure in the area would also be upgraded while as special focus will be given to boost agriculture and horticulture production in the area. The Minister reaffirmed that being the local representative equal development of all the areas is his priority and no injustice would be done to any area of the Constituency on the developmental front. He assured the people that all their genuine developmental needs would be carry out in a phased manner. He also impressed upon the officers to solve the people’s genuine problems and developmental needs on priority. Shabir said that primary responsibility of the public representatives is to go to the people for determining and addressing their problems through concerned agencies. He asked people to be aware of their rights and seek due share in development process launched by the Government across the State Referring to various revolutionary initiatives taken by the government during the past four years for bringing accountability, transparency in the administration for providing good governance to the people, besides empowering the people at gross root level, the minister said that Laws like Right to Information Act, Public Service Guarantee Act, holding of Panchayat elections was the land mark steps taken by the Government. The Minister said that people have pinned their hopes on public representatives and asked the Panchs and Sarpanchs to work sincerely for welfare and development of the people who gave them their self-assurances. He also called upon the District Officer to ensure their frequent visits in border and hilly areas for on the spot solution of the problems and developmental needs of the masses of these areas. |
