| Mesmerising musical event presented by Navras | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 28: Navras organisation presented a colourful Dogri musical evening today at Mubarak Mandi Jammu to showcase the rich Dogra culture which was highly appreciated by the mammoth gathering. In this programme, Mr. Ashok Khajuria MLA, Jammu East was the chief Guest where as Mr. Saujanya Sharma, Director Tourism Jammu presided over the function. Sh Balwant Thakur Regional Director ICCR Jammu and Mr. Satish Sharma President IYC Jammu-Poonch were the guests of Honour. Mr. T R Sharma Special Secretary to Govt. (retd.) was also present on the occasion.
While addressing the audience, Mr. Ashok Khajuria MLA Jammu appreciated the efforts of Navras for presenting an enchanting programme. He congratulated Mrs. Shammi Malhotra, President of Navras for her efforts for presenting such a programme in a short span of time.
Mr. Saujanya Sharma, Director Tourism Jammu while addressing the gathering congratulated the management of Navras especially Mrs Shammi Malhotra President and lauded the endeavour for presenting a beautiful and heart-touching musical programme. He opined that such events are essential to promote
and develop Dogra culture which should be organised on regular basis so as to make our new generation acquainted with the legacy of Dogra Culture.
Earlier, while welcoming the guests and audience, Mrs Shammi Malhotra president of Navras hoped that such programmes will be liked and appreciated by the audience. She stressed that efforts should be made to present such events highlighting Dogra culture in rural and far flung areas of Jammu region.
The music composed was by Mr. Chaman Panthi and the event was
choreographed by Mr. Jackson. The singers who performed on the stage were Bishan Dass and Utam Singh Utam.
The event was sponsored by J&K Tourism Department, Satish Sharma president IYC Jammu-Poonch, Dr. Shakti Dhar Appearance Boutique Jammu, Ritz Computers, Jammu Motors and Dev Arts Studio.
Mr. Praveen Sharma conducted the programme and also presented vote of thanks. |
