SRINAGAR, May 29: As many as 370 NCC Cadets from various schools, colleges and ITI's of Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian participated in the 10-day Annual Training Camp at Tattoo Ground, Bemina, Srinagar. During the camp, the Cadets were acquainted with various academic, social and cultural training events to develop character, sprit for adventure and social service. The camp was organized to encourage Cadets to become responsible citizens and positive contributors towards development of a health society. Experts during the camp highlighted the role and capabilities of important departments like Health, Civil Defence, Disaster Management, Fire & Emergency Services and Traffic Police in providing the succor to needy people. Awareness lectures on TB, general health and hygiene besides motivation lecture were also organized to spread health awareness. The cadets and the staff donated 17 units of blood during blood donation camp. The camp culminated with presentation of a colourful cultural programme and prize distribution on May 25, 2013. |
