| BCC Hiranagar discussed several demands | | |

Hiranagar, Aug 1: Several panchayat representatives today discussed several problems in a meeting of block Congress Committee, held under the leadership of Bishan Dass Sangra, President Block Congress Committee Hiranagar. According to press release, several Sarpanches, Panches and prominent Congress workers participated in the meeting and discussed various demands including installation of new transformer, poles , adequate supply of drinking water, new irrigation tube well, early completion of the construction work of Old Samba Kathua road, construction of bridge over Tarnah Nallah at OSK Road, and early starting of construction of Apni Mandi at Hiranagar. Janak Singh along with other persons demanded construction of pacca bund for the protection from floods on both sides of Tarnah river. Another deputation led by Veena Rani of village Devo Chak demanded sewing machines for their center so that ladies from poor section of society get benefited. Bishan Dass Sangra Presidetn block Congress Committee assured the gathering that all their demands would be raised with the concerned authorities. He asked the people to participate in monthly meetings in order to bring them in the notice of the administration. |
