Partial bandh observed in Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah , Aug 1 : Shops and business units remained closed in Bhaderwah town for a second day as a partial bandh was observed today to protest against a clash between two groups and demanding release of those arrested for alleged involvement in the incident.
Two youths were beaten by members of another group late Tuesday night leading to tension in the area, officials said. The injured persons were hospitalised. The arrest of three persons involved in the alleged beating of duo led to protests by the second group, they said.
"The situation was peaceful and normal in Bhaderwah town. There was no reports of any untoward incident reported from anywhere," a police spokesman said.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Minister of State for Home, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo flew to Bhadwerwah and held a meeting in which MLA Bhaderwah Mohd Sharief Niaz, DDC Doda Mubarak Singh, DIG Ashkoor Ahmed Wani were also present.
